All the surrounding villages are accessible by public transport or by car. Take a hike through the lush green forests, green Alpine meadows in the Turtmann Valley or on Moos Alp located nearby. You can relax in this region also known as the Valais Sun, where you can find rare tranquillity in the splendid panorama. Some of the recommended spots are the marked 500 km hiking trails or 70 km mountain biking trails, Nordic walking trails, several theme trails or the historical irrigational canals called “Bisse” (Suonen in German).
Winter
The ski region of Moos Alp Ginals is breath-taking for winter sport lovers. Enjoy snow shoeing tours, winter hikes through snowy pine and birch forests and experience an amazing panorama. Queues and crowds are hardly ever found near the ski lifts and runs. Ski schools located in this area offers quick ski lessons and you can try skiing on the white slopes at the first attempt. Events, weekly programmes and excellent dining options complement the offers and fulfil all the requirements. You can take mild to moderate ski tours in the ski area on your own (guides are not required). Augstbord Horn and the Thirteenth Horn are two spots that you can explore all by yourself.
