Holiday House in Cascais with Garden, Barbecue and Terrace

The beach, the city and the mountains lie at your feet. Your holiday home is situated in the beautiful fishing village of Cascais, on the "Costa do Sol", about 500 m from the Atlantic coast. Just around the corner is the "Boca do Inferno".



From the outside, salmon colour, arches and the chimney are reminiscent of the Arab influences in Portugal, while otherwise the architecture is kept rather timelessly modern. Spread over approx. 200 m2: kitchen, guest toilet and light-flooded living room with fireplace and garden terrace on the ground floor. On the first floor there are three bedrooms with large double beds. The landlord has also thought of your small children: a toddler bed and two sofa beds are available in the living room. One of the bedrooms is a suite, with its own bathroom. Another separate bathroom is available for the other three rooms. The rooms are painted in calm, light pastel tones. The equipment of your holiday home is of high quality. Marble floors, real wood parquet, brass railings, fireplace, central heating, hand-painted wall tiles, built-in wardrobes and comfortable furnishings and fittings offer you the comfort and cosiness you could wish for on a wonderful holiday. This also contributes to the fact that your holiday home is kept as a smoke-free and pet-free living space. Another highlight is the PORT-Wine Lounge in the basement, which was newly furnished in 2022: a classically furnished room with a decorative youngtimer is waiting for you for a drink, game nights or relaxed reading. The fourth bedroom is also located in the basement. The landlord's private internet connection can be used on request and by arrangement - but without liability for any technical problems. Numerous freely accessible WiFi networks from the surrounding shops, restaurants, etc. can be found in the immediate vicinity. Furthermore, four fans are at your free disposal.


The staircase leads to the sunny roof terrace where you can have an interesting view of the surrounding area, sunbathe, or wash clothes in the washing machine in your own laundry room. In the cellar-basement is a small lounge, an area which you can use as a play/party room, or even park three cars securely. You may like to grill fresh fish and other delicacies on the balcony or on the terrace.

About seven km away, you will find the famous surfer's beach of "Praia do Guincho". The country's capital city of Lisbon with all the sights and attractions of a multicultural city is situated 25 km east. Approx. 18 km north, the picturesque World Heritage Site of Sintra with its unique manor houses, mountain trails and breathtaking fauna is waiting to be discovered by you. Restaurants, cafes, shopping possibilities (bakery, cafes, LIDL, supermarkets), a gym, hairdresser, ATMs, a bus stop, etc. are in the immediate vicinity. The historic quarter is waiting for you, about two and a half kilometres away, with bars, restaurants, discos and a large city park with children’s playgrounds. Of course you will also find secluded, quiet places to relax everywhere. Visit, for example, the beautiful "Casa da Guia" which is only 500 m away. It will delight you. A visit to the Marina de Cascais (about two kilometres away) will face you with a dilemma: party or rest ... A large shopping centre is located between Cascais and Sintra, with the "Cascais Shopping Centre". Those who do not find it large enough can visit Colombo in Lisbon, the largest shopping centre on the Iberian Peninsula. You can try your luck in the Casino do Estoril, about four km away. The owner also recommends the regular shows, the casino park with the water-light show or just a long walk on the beach promenade for those who do not want necessarily want gaming tables and one-armed bandits. About two and a half kilometres away is the train station. There are frequent trains to Lisbon. Enjoy the 25-minute journey along the coast, past Estoril, the Torre de Belém (the symbol of Portugal) and the 25 de Abril bridge overlooking the Christ the King monument. In Lisbon, you will have connections to the bus, the metro and the nostalgic trams that are reminiscent of San Francisco. Several golf courses border your holiday home. Quinta da Marinha, Oitavos, Quinta da Beloura and Penha Longa to cite a few examples. Caution: Be warned, you will fall in love with Cascais - Costa do Sol and come back. The owner will be delighted to welcomes you again to his house, and to your holiday home!

    “We stayed here for two weeks and loved every minute of it. The home is big and beautiful. The location is fantastic, less than an 800 meter walk from the sea. Each bedroom has ample space and the living/dining room area is nice and large. It's conveniently located to grocery shopping and takes about 30 minutes for a nice seaside walk into the old town. Further, the owner is fantastic. He was helpful at every step and a wealth of information. It's obvious that he not only takes pride in his home and Cascais, but also truly sees his guests as guests and wants them to have a great time. We highly recommend staying here and we will DEFINITELY be back.”

    “Ein wirklich schönes Haus in einer ruhigen Straße, mit großen Schlafzimmern und Balkonen. In wenigen Gehminuten erreicht man das Meer und die Restaurantmeile. Busanbindung ist ebenfalls sehr gut - die Bushaltestelle ist nur eine Straße weiter. Fußläufig erreicht man das Zentrum sowie einen kleinen Strand in ca. 25 Minuten. Der Vermieter war sehr hilfsbereit und hatte viele gute Tipps rund um die Stadt.”

    “Positiv: The location - quiet, but close to restaurants, the beach and nice walks. Great spot to explore Cascais and Sintra. Negativ: n/a Restaurant: Casa da Guia - Short walking distance. This location has a restaurant, a few cafés and a nice coastal walk. Ausflüge: Walk in Quinta da Marinha - Nice, quiet and green residential area.”
