The holiday apartment is situated in Appenzell. The place is shown on the map. You will also find the location of the holiday apartment marked there. Subject to change: The description text and the travel documents which include the address of the holiday apartment shall apply.
The yellow wooden house stands in the middle of the village Appenzell, opposite to the town hall. It is 450 years old, has an old equipment from grandmother's time and can tell stories. This may provide a romantic feeling of the middle ages. Nearly all parts of the house are made of wood. Some parts which make our todays life more confortable are new, e.g. bed, cooking equipment, towels, wifi etc.

The apartment is on the 1st floor. It is intended for 2-3 people. In case of 4-5 guests an additional room can be used on the 2nd floor, with toilet and bath in the holiday apartment.

From the kitchen you see the colorful life on the place. The other rooms give view to the balcony which is decorated with plants during the warmer summer season.

The host lives on the 2nd floor. Two more rooms for guests are on the 3rd floor.

The house can be reached from the railway station within a 3 minute's walk. If you arrive by car, you'll find blue parking slots for a short stay close to the house. White parking fields for several hours are at "Ziel" or "Brauereiplatz", both only a 5 minute's walk away.

The guests are asked to show consideration for the conditions of a timber house with historical character, to renounce, e. g. burning candles, smoking or other fire in the rooms and to keep to the night's rest if other guests are in the house. Smoking on the balcony is permitted.

Schnee und Regen begleitete uns.Positiv: Die zentrale Lage und das nette Umgehen mit dem Mitter. Er hat uns viele gute Tippe mitgeteiltNegativ: Es wahr etwas kühl und das Bett für mich zu weich.Restaurant: 3 Könige - Die verschiedenen Frühstücke sind super feinAusflüge: Hoher Kasten - Er wahr beschneit und man konnte die differenz zum Rheintal schön wahrnemen.”

    “En plein centre, accès à tout les magasins et restaurants sans soucis. Gare à 5mn notre hôte nous
    à donné les Pass vacances transports et téléphériques entres autres gratuits. Accueil très chaleureux. Positiv: Maison ancienne avec beaucoup de charme, en plein centre, accueil parfait du propriétaire qui
    en plus nous à mis à dispo une place de parking. Un séjours parfait. Negativ: Aucun Restaurant: Marktplatz - Cuisine et lieu authentique, accueil parfait. Ausflüge: Ebenalp, kromberg,Hoher Kasten. - Accès par téléphérique, auberge et grottes Wildkirchli., restaurant tournant randonnées pour tous les niveaux. Vue magnifique sur tout les sommet à 360 degré.”

    “Positiv: M. Wagner nous a très chaleureusement accueilli dans le petit appartement dans lequel a vécu sa grand-mère. L’atmosphère surannée qui se dégage de l’appartement, les planchers qui grincent, les belles fenêtres d’origine nous ont transportés dans un temps de vie plus simple et c’était très ressourçant. M. Wagner a planter de très poétiques plantes alpines sur le petit balcon où nous prenions nos petits-déjeuners, rythmés par le puissant son des cloches de l’église toute proche. Notre quotidien nous a tout de suite paru bien loin! M. Wagner a été de bons conseils et s’est montré un hôte très attentionné, disponible et discret à la fois, nous le remercions de son accueil. Negativ: La cuisine et la salle de bain sont très simple, comme au temps de la grand-maman de M. Wagner. Il entreprend des travaux progressivement, nous espérons qu’il saura restaurer en douceur les très belles fenêtres d’origine en préservant leurs spécificités patrimoniales. Nous lui souhaitons le meilleur dans ses travaux!”
