    “Der Ort hat eine sehr gute touristische Infrastruktur. Restaurants und Souvenirshops sind ausreichend vorhanden. Leider fehlt es an einem echten Supermarkt ("superstore"), die sind in Cornwall aber ohnehin selten. Lebensmittel kauft man am besten in den Coops in der Stadt, der Spar-Laden in der Nähe des Hauses hat nur ein beschränktes Angebot.
    Für Unternehmungen ins Innere Cornwalls liegt Looe etwas weit östlich, nahe an der Grenze zu Devon. Das kann ein Vorteil sein, wenn man z. B. ins Dartmoor oder nach Plymouth möchte. Bis Land's End ganz im Westen fährt man aber fast zwei Stunden (in England darf selbst auf vierspurig ausgebauten Straßen nur maximal 112 km/h gefahren werden).”

    “Der Ort erfüllt alle Rosamunde-Pilcher-Erwartungen. Lediglich die unmittelbar etwas besseren Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in einem größeren Supermarkt fehlten. Das Niveau war durchwachsen. Die Leute im Ort sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten in der Nähe Sehenswürdigkeiten zu besuchen. Ideal für Surfer, Freunde des Kaffeetrinkens, Blick aufs Meer werfen und Sandburgen bauen. Der Spielplatz in Looe ist eher für kleinere Kinder, aber ok.”
