As its name suggests, this is the oldest part of the city, it is here that we find some of the older houses and buildings that tend to have the more traditional facades. The old center of Albufeira has a great choice in restaurants, from typical Portuguese restaurants ...

Many of the restaurants serve traditional Portuguese cuisine, with a wide variety of fish and seafood, caught near Fisherman's Beach. Near Fisherman's Beach you can find magnificent terraces strategically placed to enjoy every hour of sun. You can also find bars that serve, among others, colorful cocktails, in this noble area of Albufeira the nightlife in the tourist season (March-October) is truly bustling. On your vacation in Albufeira you can buy local handicrafts, from jewelery, costume jewelery, clothes, paintings and pottery at very low prices.
Oura (strip)
Located two kilometers from Albufeira, is the area known as Rua da Oura (The Strip) - Av. Sá Carneiro. It is very busy in the high season, and here you will find a wide variety of shops, restaurants and bars. The nightlife is very lively, where the bars are open throughout the night with lots of music. This "Strip" is not an area exclusively for pedestrians.
Water Eyes
Olhos de Água is a village of fishing origins, 5km to the source of Albufeira, county seat. The most prestigious area of Albufeira. In Olhos de Água you can visit the famous Praia da Falésia (second best beach in Portugal), Praia dos Olhos de Água, the historic Torre da Medronheira, the beautiful Olheiros de Água Doce, the market with fresh fish, you can taste fish dishes and seafood in the typical restaurants and shopping in the many shops also with local crafts. It is in Olhos de Água that are located the best hotels 4 * and 5 * of the county. Olhos de Agua Beach is the only beach in the municipality of Albufeira where you can still see fishing boats climbing on the boat ramp and fishermen's stalls. Nowadays, it is still possible (around 10:30 p.m.) to have the experience of being able to see the Praia dos Olhos de Água beach a boat with fresh fish still jumping in the nets and buying directly from the fisherman. There are several parties and events in the beach of the fishermen, especially in the bathing season.
