For diversion, there is also a choice of water sports activities, hikes in the Haut-Languedoc Nature Park or a boat trip on the Canal of the South with its nine locks. Enjoy a glass of wine on the Place de la Comédie in the middle of the historic city of Montpellier and stroll through the unique old town of Carcassonne, which with its fortifications is one of the most beautiful of its kind in the world and is sure to delight any lover of old walls.
