Vacation apartment in an estate in Mariano del Friuli, a picturesque village in the hinterland of Friuli, known in Europe for its fine wines and good restaurants where you can taste the delicacies of regional cuisine. The complex has a beautiful communal garden with garden furniture where you can relax. The landlord offers guests some tastings of local wines along with cold cuts and cheeses of homemade production. There is also the possibility to visit the vineyards (prior agreement with the owners). The surrounding area offers many opportunities: Cycling or hiking in the region rich in vineyards and beautiful landscapes, visiting Gorizia ( 5 km) multicultural city and site of important historical events, visiting Palmanova, (16 km), a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with many stores and historical monuments, that of Aquileia (24 km), a famous port with Roman excavations, San Daniele (50 km) with the Duomo and the historical library, rich in a collection of ancient texts. The city is famous in the world for the production of IGP raw ham. It is possible to visit the ham production facilities with tastings. For sea lovers : Monfalcone (15 km) with its sandy beaches, Grado (26 km). For art lovers : Venice (130 km), Trieste (50 km), the regional capital that during the Austro-Hungarian Empire was the Central European living room where several writers such as James Joyce and the famous psychologist Sigmund Freud met.
