"This semi-detached holiday house is situated on the slopes of Monte Amiata, surrounded by vineyards and olive groves in a fantastic hillside location with a wide panoramic view. The former farmhouse has been stylishly restored and furnished: via the large panoramic terrace and the covered loggia you enter the ground floor with kitchen, two bedrooms with bathrooms, on the upper floor is the central living room with sofa bed, a second kitchen, bathroom and above that the romantic third bedroom with bathroom and small terrace. However, you will definitely enjoy life here mainly in the grandiose outdoor area - while dining in front of the house, at sunset; while browsing, sunbathing or further down, in the private pool.
The medieval Seggiano with ristorante, bar and small supermarket is at 2 km. The other towns on Monte Amiata are also worthwhile excursion destinations: Stroll through the narrow streets and picturesque village squares of Castel del Piano (12 km) and Arcidosso (15 km). You can taste local specialties everywhere - pecorino cheese, wild boar goulash and porcini-based dishes. The delicious Vino del Montecucco grows on site, visit the wine cellar! The best way to taste the excellent red wine Brunello is in its capital, the medieval Montalcino (26 km). You will also be impressed by the Etruscan tuff cities of Pitigliano and Sorano - there are excellent white wines here. The area is ideal for forest walks or longer hikes thanks to the pleasant temperatures even in midsummer - the summit of Monte Amiata is 1738 m a.s.l. !
Even beach days are no problem for a change: Marina di Grosseto and Castiglione della Pescaia are about 70-80 km away. Alternative bathing options are the warm thermal baths in the area - Bagno Vignoni and Bagno San Filippo (each 25 km) or the thermal baths of Saturnia (50 km). Unpaved access road"
