An der Schärenküste vor Karlskrona gibt es viele Inseln. Diese, namens Sturkö, ist die Bekannteste davon. Hier tauchte im Oktober 1981 unvermittelt ein russisches U-Boot auf und verblüffte nicht nur ganz Schweden. Sie wohnen hier ganz draußen an der Spitze der Insel, umgeben von Meer und Felsen, mit malerischer Kulisse und viel frischer Seeluft. Das Haus steht auf einem gr. Naturgrundstück, ganz weit draußen an der Küste. Der Eigentümer wohnt direkt nebenan und ist bei Bedarf schnell vor Ort. Auf dem Grundstück des Hauses gibt es Bäume und Felsen sowie einen Pfad hinunter ans Meer.
Innen wurde es hell und freundlich eingerichtet, mit durchschnittlich gutem Mobiliar und einer Wärmepumpe, die das ganze Jahr über für angenehme Innentemperaturen sorgen kann. Für Angler gibt es vor Ort wochenweise ein Ruderboot zu mieten. Die Hauskaution (SEK 1.000,-) ist bei Ankunft zu hinterlegen.

Um Sturkö zu erreichen, überquert man eine Hochbrücke, die diese Inselwelt mit dem Festland verbindet. Bereits während der Überfahrt können Sie eine spektakuläre Aussicht bewundern! Fährt man noch ein Stück weiter, erreicht man die kleine Nachbarinsel Tjurkö mit einzigartiger Natur und Steingut-Handwerkern. In Karlskrona auf dem Festland gibt es ein Marinemuseum und hier finden im Laufe des Sommers diverse kulturelle und maritime Veranstaltungen statt, z.B. ein Tall Ship Race. Kinder freuen sich über einen Ausflug zum Barnens Bondgård, einem Hof der von Frühling bis Herbst geöffnet ist.
