Holiday home in Obervellach near ski area

This large, authentic holiday home (former farm) for up to 16 people is located in the municipality of Obervellach in Carinthia, quietly located in the south at an altitude of 1,130 meters with panoramic views of the Mölltal and the Hohe Tauern National Park, near the Ankogel/Mallnitz ski area and the Mölltal Glacier in Flattach.

The holiday home with a large living room with fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen-diner has been carefully renovated and offers comfortable furnishings combined with the atmosphere of the past. The house has 6 bedrooms (3 with their own balcony), 3 large bathrooms, 2 outdoor terraces and a laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Parking spaces are available directly at the house.

The area is home to beautiful hiking trails and impressive flora and fauna. In summer, the public swiiming pool in Obervellach and the Greifenburg bathing lake offers plenty of bathing fun, and the famous Millstätter See can also be reached in about 30 minutes by car. You can ski on the Mölltal Glacier with 36 kilometers of slopes (also with a fun park) from October to mid-May. The equally well-known Ankogel/Mallnitz ski area offers almost 13 kilometers of slopes.

The house is located in the border triangle of Austria-Slovenia-Italy, making it easy to visit cities such as Trieste, Udine, Venice, Villach and Klagenfurt. There are numerous shops in Obervellach for your daily shopping.

By purchasing the KärntenCard (available from May to November and in winter), you often receive free entry and various discounts on attractions and activities in the region. From May to October and in winter, all guests can go on free (snowshoe) hikes with a national park ranger (maximum 2 times per stay). The house owners are happy to give you advice and tips.

    “Das Haus ist für eine Gruppe oder Großfamilie bestens geeignet. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist gut. Die Badezimmer sind sauber und modern eingerichtet. Ebenfalls kann gegenüber eine kleine Bar auf Anfragen geöffnet werden, hier eine tolle Ausstattung. Die Betreuung durch den Vermieter ist ebenfalls sehr gut, er gibt gute Hinweise wo man z. B. gut Essen kann. Was vielleicht noch fehlt, wäre ein Unterstellplatz für Fahrräder oder Motorräder. Wir, 15 Personen, können das Haus nur empfehlen.”

    “Es war ein megga toller Traumurlaub, aber nur weil wir dass tolle Haus gefunden und direkt lieb gewonnen haben. Lage ist ein Traum direkt südlich ca 1000 m Höhe und alleinstehend. Ausstattung vom feinstem, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Vermieter schlossen wir gleich in unser Herz. So gastfreundlich findet man sehr selten. Eine Bar direkt vor dem Haus wurde auf Anfrage direkt immer geöffnet. Wir hatten das Haus komplett für uns alleine und die Bäder wurden jetzt (2017) komplett neu renoviert. Bei 12 Per. hatten wir immer heißes Wasser zur Verfügung egal wie oft und wie lange es gebraucht wurde. Wir alle hatten durch die tollen Betten schmerzfreie Rücken. Das Haus und die Fam. steht ab nun auf Nr.1 bei uns auf der Liste und wir kommen wieder!”
