Our farm was built in 1910 and we were allowed to take over the house in 2020. Our stylishly furnished holiday apartment is located in the former engine house, which used to house the equipment required for agriculture.
In our typical Trier Quereinhaus (living and working used to be combined in one building), modern and open living has been created over 2 floors.
The kitchen and bathroom are on the ground floor of the apartment. The open living room consists of a comfortable sofa, which can also be used as a bed.
The sleeping gallery (the nest) with a box spring bed can be reached via a free staircase in the open space.
Above all, sustainable and ecological construction is our driving force for everything we offer. Our house (built from quarry stones and clay) has been completely renovated and treated with lime plaster. We also attach great importance to natural materials and plant diversity in the outdoor area. From your own terrace you have a wonderful view of our mostly natural garden.
Works of art and finds of all kinds give the residence an unmistakable character with a high feel-good factor.
Just let yourself go with us and after a long day's activities you can let yourself be pampered in our in-house beauty salon or let yourself be enchanted in our microbrewery with a beer cuisine in the fine world of beer specialties. Just feel free as a bird with us!
Architecture typical of the region, selected accessories and comfortable furnishings (including WLAN) make your holiday home the perfect holiday accommodation for you.

Activities:
Discover the three-country region (Germany, France and Luxembourg) with breathtaking natural scenery. Whether vineyards, the Moselle or Saar, the cities of Saarburg, Trier, Luxembourg and Saarbrücken - everything is within easy reach and makes the location of our farm extremely attractive.
We are also in a hiking and cycling Eldorado - because the beautiful mixed forests of the Black Forest high forest, which runs through numerous well-developed paths and the Saar-Hunsrück Climb, with its dream loops are right around our farm. The 13.4 km long Greimerather Höhenweg, for example, is one of a total of 114 dream loops in the region, all of which have a premium character and meet the highest hiking demands.
The hilly low mountain range landscape in which Greimerath is embedded is a real treasure for friends of all kinds of outdoor activities. Whether cycling enthusiasts, hikers, runners, mountain bikers, swimmers, canoeists, motorcyclists, etc., there are plenty of opportunities and everything is within easy reach.
We also rent out a Vespa Sprint 50 for leisurely driving around or for exploring. This allows you to experience the attractive area in a unique way and to get some fresh air, for example to the nearby bathing lake in Losheim. (You can also rent SUP boards from us).
With farm no. 1 "Vogelfrei" we have created a place where peace, nature, art and wellness are wonderfully combined. A favorite place to stay for couples who appreciate the combination of active exploration of the Hochwald, Saar + Moselle region, relaxed wellness treatments and a particularly nice place to relax and take a deep breath with a view of the countryside.

The apartment has a modern kitchen and sufficient crockery and cooking utensils, coffee maker (bean grinder), kettle and toaster.
You will sleep in the nest - a modern box spring bed.
Of course, a 4K TV and free WiFi, towels and kitchen linen are included.

We would be happy to put a delicious breakfast basket with regional and organic products in front of your door in the morning.
The apartment is a non-smoking apartment and suitable for allergy sufferers.
It is not wheelchair accessible and no pets are allowed - sorry.

With us you can park free of charge, charge your (e-)bicycle and store everything safely.
Use of the garden is a matter of course.
Handover:
The handover of the flat takes place on arrival and departure. An explanation of the use of the flat, as well as all activities and possibilities can be found on site.
Prices:
The prices are valid for an occupancy of up to 2 persons (incl. electricity, water and final cleaning) with a minimum occupany of 2 nights.
The first set of bed linen is provided and included in the price; additional bed linen costs € 12,50 per person.
Country breakfast in organic quality can be booked additionally: Prices: Adults per person € 15,00 / children up to 12 years € 9,00.
Booking & Payment
The booking comes into effect with the receipt of your telephone, written or personal registration.
Payment must be made directly on site and in cash.
Payment by EC-Cash/Maestro is currently not possible.
Cancellation
If you are unable to start your trip - which we would find a great pity - we ask you to inform us in writing.
Cancellation fees:
- Cancellation is free of charge up to 30 days before the start of the holiday.
- Less than 30 days, but still at least 7 days before the start of the rental period: 50 % of the rental price.
- Less than 7 days before the start of the rental period: the tenant pays 90 % of the rental price.
We recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.
Liability
The landlord is not liable for accidents or damage that occur during the stay in the holiday home and on the property. The landlord is also not liable for the material objects handed out for rental.
