The holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a private two-family villa in Taurisano, on the tip of the boot heel of Italy, where the Ionian and the Adriatic Sea meet. As it is a corner plot, both residential units have their own driveway.
There is a loggia in front of the apartment entrance with garden furniture. The part of the garden in front of the apartment is for your own exclusive use and has a grill, so you can spend leisurely evenings here under a starry sky. An outdoor shower, a washing machine, a washbasin and a storage room are available. You can park your car on the private driveway closed off by a gate.
The apartment is independent and very well-maintained. It is tastefully furnished, with an accomplished mixture of some antique pieces of furniture and modern designer furniture. The floors adorned with mosaics give the apartment a particularly elegant atmosphere. Importance is attached to cleanliness and hygiene. The spacious living room also includes a kitchen space. The living room provides a sofa, a TV with DVBT channels, and a usable fireplace, with firewood provided by the owners for a small supplementary charge. There is a big dining table in the middle of the cooking space. The modern kitchen block is equipped with a gas stove, oven, fridge and freezer and a toaster. The bedroom has a double bed (195 x 200cm) that has been made to measure, with two pull-out single beds underneath it, which merely require the legs to be folded down. The single beds can be set up in the living room (there is only space for one in the bedroom). The bedroom also has a spacious wardrobe and antique bedside tables, as well as a desk. The elegant bathroom with customized furniture in an Arte Povera style has a shower cubicle and a hairdryer. The air conditioning unit in the bedroom can also be used for heating, and when the door is open it can also cool the living room-kitchen. Free wireless Internet access is available. A cot can be provided on request.
The location of the apartment is ideal for exploring the south of Salento. This area is worth seeing at any time of year. Various paths meander from the outskirts out through the olive groves, where you can go jogging or on cycle tours. There are bicycle rentals near the apartment. The centre is about 1000 metres away and has bars and restaurants. The nearest grocery shop is just 50 metres away. The Ionian coast is just 10km away (Marina di Ugento), while the Adriatic (Marina di Tricase) is just 20km away. The lovely beaches are all within easy access, owing to the motorways connecting Taurisano with the coast.
The owners, who live on the upper floor, are happy to assist with any queries and like to provide little gifts. Small to medium-sized pets are allowed. A parasol and beach chairs are provided for the beach.
