Charming old farmhouse with view of mountains and valley in the middle of an olive grove


This historically charming old farmhouse "Casita" has been renovated for rent and is located only 9 km from the sandy beaches.

Casita has a living space of approximately 60 m² and consists of 4 rooms in total. The living room of 35 m² is rustic with antiques and a mezzanine double bed. There is also a large new bedroom with double bed and beautiful views of the valley and mountains and access to a separate terrace. The bathroom provides wc and shower (Hot and cold water in the taps). There is enough room for 4 adults or a couple with children (possibility of 2 camp beds). A fireplace / Stove and gas heater is available for the cooler months. You have a cooker and refrigerator (gas). Lighting: 12V LED and LED battery lights, candles, kerosene lamps.

Outside you have shaded seats - hammock, barbecue and an outdoor shower as well. The house is rustic, somewhat primitive but romantic, clean and charming.

The owner lives nearby (50 meters away) and there you have the possibility to use a washing machine. The owner is a Danish-Cuban couple: Tamara graduated as doctor of medicine (Spanish-speaking and some English). Viggo is a retired business manager (Speaking: English, Spanish, Scandinavian and some German) living permanently in another house close by. You can also rent bicycles and mini 50cc scooter for 2 persons can be "borrowed" (min. 25 years and Driving license). Pets are allowed.

Meals (per person / meal) normally to be agreed in advance:
Breakfast: Tea or powder coffee /sandwich bread (Integral) / Olive Oil / cheese and jam (other on request and purchase). Lunch / dinner (prepared jointly with the landlord's) incl. wine / water / cola per person, or by request. Lunch sandwiches possible on agreement.

The area has its own "micro climate" and is one of Spain's most dry and sunny. Ebro Delta has a large production of rice and, together with the Mediterranean gives the air humidity. Here also is a large Natural Park with among others Flamingo’s and very rich fishing from the beach. The Ebro river has a famous cat fishing and excursion possible by vessel. The city of Tortosa has his history written back to time of Christ. A huge fort, the old city and the cathedral is worth visiting and even shopping here is nice. The narrow mountain road via Col de Alba is a fantastic drive and view. Distance to: Sandy beaches from 9 km. All kinds from inside the town of L'Ampolla to deserted beaches for miles away in the delta. Fishing, diving and windsurfing (one of the best places in Europe) from 9 km. Good and cheap Fish Restaurants are in the port at only 13 km. The Ebro River Delta - Nature Reserve at 20 km.
The nearest cities are Camarles 6 km (Internet at municipal IT-center weekdays 9-14). L'Ampolla 15 km (Idyllic tourist town with marina and fishing port. Many restaurants. Boats for hire. Tortosa 20 km (fantastic drive via mountain pass. Charming historic town). Tarragona 66 km (including Reus Airport with RyanAir) and Barcelona 165 km (2 hours by train (every hour)) International Airport. 1 ½ hours by Motorway.

20% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 61st day prior to arrival
50% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 35th day prior to arrival
80% of the rental price if cancellation is made up to the 2nd day prior to arrival
95% of the rental price if cancellation is made on the day of arrival
The cancellation costs amount to at least EUR 40.

    “Tolles Ferienhaus, in toller Lage für Individualisten. Haus liegt in absolut ruhiger Alleinlage, abseits jeden Trubels, genau das Richtige für einen ruhigen Urlaub. Ausstattung ist zweckmäßig und alles vorhanden, was man benötigt. Wer Luxus sucht, ist hier falsch. Ist aber nicht negativ gemeint. Man findet alles vor, was man zum Leben benötigt, und dies ist unserer übersättigten Gesellschaft eine reine Wohltat. Im Außenbereich gibt es ausreichend Sitzmöglichkeiten unter den Bäumen und Hängematten zum Relaxen. Sehr netter Vermieter, der einen mit Tipps aus der Region und bei Bedarf und gegen Bezahlung auch mit einem Frühstück mit Plausch versorgt. Wir haben uns in 1 Woche sehr wohl gefühlt und würden jederzeit wieder hinfahren. Man benötigt auf jeden Fall ein Auto, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es sehr viele in 2-10 km Entfernung. Viele tolle Naturstrände, die alle nur mit dem Auto erreicht werden können. Freizeitpark Port Aventura in ca. 1 Std. erreichbar. Viele tolle, kleine Städte in der Nähe, die sich mehr oder weniger auf Touristen eingestellt haben. Kurz: Wer Ruhe sucht und wenig andere Touristen treffen möchte, ist hier richtig.”
