The detached house is on the outskirts of Dranske-Lancken on a secluded one-way road, with a view of the lighthouse at Kap Arkona, the highlight for every holiday-maker on Rügen, on the Wittow peninsula (north-west of the island), right between the bodden and the sea. You can benefit from a quiet location within walking distance of the steep coast and the sea, as well as many possible trips to fine sandy beaches and cultural recreation, with a well-developed network of walking and cycling paths.
The sunny, roofed terrace has a table and chairs, as well as a grill for meals outdoors. A car parking space is available on the enclosed site. At night you can see the lighthouse in the distance. As the upper floor is occupied by the owners, the garden and parking space are for your own exclusive use.
The holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a single-family house with modern furnishing, which was completed in 2001 and last renovated in 2016. It provides all the necessary comfort for a relaxing holiday on Germany’s largest island. The apartment has a cosy and tasteful interior in a maritime style. You step through the entrance door into the hallway, with direct access to the front door of the apartment. The living space of 65m² comprises a comfortable living and dining room with an integrated kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed, a children’s room with a bunk bed and a daylight shower room leading off from the hallway. The first bedroom is furnished with a generous bed measuring 180 x 200cm with two bedside tables and reading lamps, a double-door wardrobe and shelving as storage space. The second bedroom is an ideal children’s room with a bunk bed (each 90 x 200cm) and plenty of space for two desks, a wardrobe and for playing on the floor. A wall-mounted flatscreen TV and a radio are also provided. The bathroom is fitted with a shower cubicle, a washbasin, a WC, a towel radiator and a window. The centrepiece of the apartment is the generous living and dining room with an open kitchen. The upholstered corner sofa invites up to four people to relax together after a day trip, with a flatscreen satellite TV and a stereo system with a radio and CD player providing entertainment. In front of the sofa there is a dining table for four people, surrounded by the fully-equipped corner kitchen with a four-zone ceramic hob and oven, a fridge and freezer compartment, a dishwasher, a microwave, kettle, coffee machine and toaster enabling comprehensive self-catering. The room provides access to the terrace and receives plenty of pleasant daylight through the window front with glass terrace doors. The hallway has a wardrobe and shoe cupboard. All the windows are fitted with insect screens and external blinds.
It is a kilometre on foot to the steep coast and the dunes, while the beautiful sandy beaches are around 3-10km away, a 20-minute bike ride. There are shops and amenities such as a supermarket, bakery, doctor, pharmacy, petrol station, restaurants, smoked fish stalls etc. awaiting your visit within 2.5-5km. The very good walking and cycling network on Wittow is asphalted and therefore also suitable for inline skating. There is a riding farm about 1.5km away and a golf course about 2km away. The Arkona lighthouse with a marine bunker is 13km away. The Gingst leisure park provides entertainment 30km away. Sassnitz with a harbour is worth a trip 34km away.
