“The "Villa Silvana" in comparison to the neighbouring Villas and in contrary to
our expectations as per the description on the internet and the photos , was rather rundown and in need of urgent renovations. Note the following:
* SECURITY: the "Villa" was broken into the 2nd night of our holiday and we lost money and clothes. All doors were locked, the kitchen light was on
and we were asleep in our beds. The intruder had entered the house through the groundfloor bathroom window which we had kept open.
It was very hot this particular day in Lignano and it must be possible to keep windows open.When we reported the theft to the police,
we were informed that petty theft is a regular occurance in Lignano. If so, why arn´t all the windows in the Villa barred?
It is not a nice feeling to be asleep and have a thief walking around the Villa!
* AIR CONDITIONING (AC): The Villa has ONE AC which is supposed to cool the whole house. How is this possible please? It was very hot in the rooms upstairs. Fortunately for us it cooled down during the nights this particular week in Lignano and we were able to sleep.
Since it was also not possible to keep windows open because of thieves wondering about you can imagine what it might have been with temperatures over 30 degrees Centigrade.
* TOILETS: There was always a sewage smell in the toilets. The Toilet cleaning brush was brown and disgusting. The shower curtain was smelly and had mould at the bottom. The bathroom always got wet when one took a shower and no mops were provided to wipe the floor.
* KITCHEN: The oven didn´t function. The crockery and cutlery had not been dried properly and there was a damp smell when the kitchen cupboards were opened. There was no order in the way the kitchen was organised. The cups and saucers and plates were everywhere and we had to search for things.
* BEDROOMS: The upstair bedrooms are for short people. The roof slants down and one has to bend double to access the cupboards.
Some of the beds were like trampolines and some of us had severe backache after sleeping on these beds. There were reading lamps only for one side of the double beds.
* GARDEN: was full of needles and rather unkempt. No flowers anywhere. A outside shower to wash the sand off would have been nice
Some rusty bikes were locked in a corner of the garden. The AC fan was outside the bedroom on the ground floor and was making a terrible noise. The AC itself was condensing water inside the Villa. It obviously needs a service. The table in the terrace is dirty. The Villa needs some fresh paint.
* LINEN: We had to pay an extra EUR12 per person for sheets and towels. Most of the towels were small and rags with patches and spots allover.
There were no matress covers.
* GENERAL CLEANDLINESS: the house had not been cleaned thoroughly. There was dust on several surfaces. Behind the sofa was full of dirt. There was no information on how to dispose of garbage. The fridge needs to be defrosted.
On the POSITIVE side, the Villa is well located in a quiet neighbourhood not far from the supermarket and sea.”

“Per quanto riguarda l'aria condizionata, la locazione dell'istallazione dell'impianto è decisione del proprietario dell'immobile (noi possiamo cercare di dare dei consigli, ma l'ultima parola è la sua). Per il problema della Toilette, purtroppo questo è da imputare all'impianto di fognatura: questo accade nei momenti di bassa pressione. Di conseguenza questo non è indice di mancanza di pulizie, ma è una caratterisitica, purtroppo negativa, della zona che fortunatamente è abbastanza rara e si risolve da sola.
Per la cucina, nessuno ci ha mai fatto presente del mal funzionamento del forno; inoltre per quanto riguarda la collocazione delle stoviglie si cerca principalmente di raggrupparle nelle credenze o armadietti dei soggiorni (comunque vengono continuamente spostati dalle varie famiglie che si susseguono).
Per quanto riguarda le pulizie, i clienti non ci hanno mai fatto presente alcuna lamentela: se ci avessero avvisato avremmo provveduto immediatamente a far rientrare la squadra delle pulizie e rieseguire i lavori. Questo anche per quanto riguarda il noleggio della biancheria.
Mentre per le camere da letto la misura dei materassi è quella standard.”
