Holiday house in an idyllic and sunny stand-alone location
The beautiful detached house enjoys stands on a sunny and quiet slight meadow slope at 480 metres above sea level, in a protected landscape area above Anould, from where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the valley and the wider surroundings.
The house was built around 1860 by a French nobleman (military) who chose this very beautiful location at the time with great care. The entrance is at ground level into a 30m² separate hallway. The lower bathroom measures 16m² and has a new wood-burning stove (8 KW), a shower, bath, washbasin and WC, as well as a washing machine and a 100-litre freezer. The living room (24m²) provides a cosy interior with a tiled fireplace stove, a six-seater sofa and two beds (each 90cm wide). The TV receives all channels (ASTRA) in German. The kitchen (16m²) is equipped for eight people. It has a table with eight chairs, cookware and tableware, a fridge, a new built-in kitchen, a four-ring ceramic hob with an oven, an induction stove, dishwasher, coffee machine, microwave etc. The large tiled fireplace stove is fired from the kitchen, exuding especially pleasant warmth in the kitchen and living room. Firing it just once a day is enough to keep it warm for the day. Plenty of dry firewood is available in the lower hallway. The lower bedroom is furnished with a double bed (200 x 200cm) with very good mattresses, a cupboard and a table with two chairs. It is accessed at ground level from the lower hallway and is heated with a free-standing wood-burning stove with a big glass front. This bedroom would also be suitable for wheelchair users. From the lower hallway, wide stairs lead to the upper rooms, comprising a bedroom (24m²) with two double beds and a cupboard and a second bedroom (16m²) with a double bed and a cupboard. These two bedrooms are pleasantly heated by the warmth of the tiled fireplace stove. The beds have good slatted frames and mattresses. Bed linen, hand and bath towels and tea towels are included in the rental price. In the hallway next door you can find a shower room with a shower, a washbasin and a WC, as well as a further bathroom with a bath, washbasin and WC. Two electric hot water boilers each 150 litres generate the hot water for the bathrooms. All electric connections are installed at German standards.
Five good deckchairs wait to be used. In front of the house there is a large even area in a sunny spot sheltered from the wind. In the nearby outdoor area you can find a pergola with an electricity connection, a table and eight chairs for sociable gatherings. There is a charcoal grill under the pergola. The neighbouring house is occupied by a German family and is over 100 metres away.
You should do the final cleaning yourself. A vacuum cleaner and cleaning utensils are provided. Otherwise this is charged a fee according to the condition.
The house stands in pristine nature in a protected landscape area according to EC norms. Here there are rabbits hopping in front of doorstep, the birds are not shy, deer can be observed in the evening and the view of the surroundings is fabulous.
