Apartment in Villa Regina in the Sassnitz old town

Sassnitz is a state-recognised recreational area with nearly 10,000 inhabitants, a municipal harbour with fishing boats and sailing yachts, and Mukran ferry port, with ferries towards Scandinavia and the Baltic states. The little town by the sea is situated on the Jasmund peninsula in the north-east of the island Rügen and belongs to the Vorpommern-Rügen region in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Sassnitz was awarded the title of UNESCO world natural heritage site in 20120 for the beech forest in Jasmund National Park, in the category “Beech forest of the Carpathians and old beech forests in Germany”. The Sassnitz urban area stretches from the north-east of the island Rügen down to the Schmale Heide in the south. This landscape is especially known for its chalk cliffs, as well as deposits from the ice age. The striking chalk cliff is 118 metres high and is known worldwide as “Königsstuhl”. The apartment is in the old town of Sassnitz with the villa-like seaside architecture from the 19th century, with hotels and guesthouses, little alleys and restaurants.

The accommodation faces south and has a sea view from the sitting corner and the terrace. The house has history and has been charmingly renovated. Villa Regina offers the right setting for a Baltic Sea holiday and welcomes its guests today with the grandour of the past. The apartment has an individual, modern and tasteful interior. It is on the raised ground floor of the two-storey house and is self-contained. It has a bedroom with two beds and a pull-out sofa bed, a living room with a sofa bed, table and armchair, digital satellite TV, a radio, Wi-Fi and a separate cosy reading corner. The kitchen unit is equipped with a four-ring ceramic hob, oven, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, crockery and cutlery, kettle, coffee machine, toaster and an extendable dining table with four chairs. There is a bathroom with a window, shower, WC and washbasin.

You can park on the space belonging to the apartment. Access is along an asphalted cul-de-sac. The garden also affords a sea view and faces south. It provides terraces, garden furniture and loungers for sunbathing. The site is detached and enclosed.

The owners live on the upper floor and are therefore available in the event of any queries.

A walk in the harbour area is a must. You can get to know the variety and beauty of Sassnitz and the surroundings on walks along the chalk coast in the national park as far as Königsstuhl. Treat yourself to a holiday on Germany’s most beautiful and largest island. Jasmund National Park, the beach promenade, the harbour are all just a short walk away, as well as restaurants and grocery shops. It is 100 metres from the apartment to the first shopping stand and 500 metres to a discount shop. The nearest restaurants are about 150 metres away. The brasserie in the Reichshof is to be recommended.

    “Wir kommen bestimmt wieder. Positiv: Gemütliche, sehr saubere und ordentliche Ferienwohnung. Große gut ausgestattete Küche. Der Garten ist eine richtige Wohlfühloase, mit Möglichkeiten zum Essen, ausruhen und relaxen. Wir konnten ihn jeder Zeit mit benutzen. Die Besitzerin war immer ansprechbar und hat uns gute Tipps zum Wandern und Sehenswürdigkeiten ansehen gegeben. Restaurant: Brasserie - Klasse Fischrestaurante”

    “Positiv: Lejligheden lå rigtig dejligt med udsigt udover havet. Lejligheden var super fin indrettet, der var meget rent og pænt. Negativ: Der var den fineste have, som vi gerne måtte benytte, men udlejeren benyttede selv haven, og havde sin familie på besøg, så vi ville ikke være bekendt at gå ud og sætte os i haven, det ville vi gerne have gjort om aftenen og om morgenen.”

    “Sehr zu empfehlen Positiv: Die Wohnung war top gepflegt und sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet. Alles hell und großräumig, mit einer wundervollen Aussicht. Sehr nette Gastgeber. Alles top!!! Negativ: Es gibt nichts, was nicht gestimmt hat, alles perfekt. Restaurant: Fleischerei, Gastronomie & Partyservice Timm - In der Einkaufsmeile. Super lecker zu gutem Preis und sehr gute/nette Wirte. Ausflüge: Kaiserstuhl - Kaiserstuhl auf Rügen ist sehr schön zum Wandern und anschauen.”
