Former barn, comprising two accommodation units with a pool, just 20 minutes from Arezzo
This holiday house is an old farmhouse in the Valdarno Aretino countryside at the foot of the Pratomagno mountain chain.
The owners of the house recently renovated the barn carefully and tastefully, using quality materials. Wooden ceilings, old brick arches, old terracotta floors and the unique interior with antique furniture give this house a very special charm.
The barn is next to the house, but is completely independent and divided into two apartments. They are accessed from the garden and are only rented to a group of guests. The accommodation measures 220m² and consists of two kitchens, each with a dining space, two living rooms, of which one is very spacious with sofas and a fireplace, four bedrooms, of which three each have a double bed and the fourth has two single beds, and four bathrooms.
In front of the house there is a beautiful garden with a pergola, a table and chairs. Parking spaces are available on site.
Fifty metres from the barn, in a panoramic location on a hill, you can find the swimming pool (15 x 7m), surrounded by a big sunbathing lawn with deckchairs, toilets and changing cabins.
As the house is near the country road, it is suitable for holiday-makers who would like to go on trips not only to the big tourist centres, but also to smaller neighbouring towns. The accommodation is also ideal for two families or groups who would like to spend their holiday together. The location is convenient, not far to the famous Tuscan towns such as Arezzo (20km), Florence (50km), Siena (40km) and Cortona (35km). The nearby Arezzo is both a medieval and a renaissance town and just a 20-minute drive away. It is famous for its antiques fair, which takes place on the first weekend of every month. The best way to get to Florence and its old town is by train (30 minutes) from Montevarchi, which is just a ten-minute drive from the house. It is just 15 minutes by car to many designer outlets with Italian fashion and 20 minutes to the famous Chianti region.
