    “Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ausreichend im Ort vorhanden. Bahnhof der Selketalbahn gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Fahrt mit der Schmalspurbahn ist sehr empfehlenswert. Vom Grundstück hat man bei schönem Wetter Blick zum Brocken.”

    “Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sehr gut. Für die Zeit von zwei Wochen Urlaub gibt es wirklich alles, was man braucht. Wem EDEKA und NETTO nicht reichen, der findet in Thale ALDI und LIDL, in Quedlinburg ALDI. Gastronomie von der Auswahl her eher bescheiden. Die historische Gaststätte. Zur Bückemühle fanden wir super, aber da geht man schon wegen des Preisniveaus nicht jeden Tag hin. Das Café Froschkönig ist einen Besuch wert. Sehenswert in Gernrode ist St. Cyriakus. Ansonsten bietet der Ort nicht viel. Die Kinderfreundlichkeit können wir nicht beurteilen, wir waren ohne Kinder da und haben auf dieses Thema nicht besonders geachtet.
    Zum Thema Sport und Freizeit: Für uns war Gernrode ein idealer Standort für Unternehmungen. In 15 Minuten ist man in der Altstadt von Quedlinburg. Über die vierspurige B6 in 30 Minuten in Wernigerode und in 50 Minuten in Goslar. Halberstadt 25 Minuten. Thale (Bodetal) und Selketal (Mägdesprung) je 15 Minuten. Will man mal vom Haus weg ohne Auto wandern, so hat man den sehr schönen Fürstenweg zur Roseburg und zum Schloss Ballenstedt, oder den Schwesternweg. Das Preisniveau in Gernrode fanden wir normal.”
