    “Herzlage heeft 3 supermarkten. Voor glascontainers moet je wel echt op zoek want dat is niet vanzelfsprekend bij de supermarkt aanwezig. Wij brachten het naar Grafeld. Het is een prima fietsgebied en voor wat verdere tochtjes zijn Coppenburg, Quakenbrück, Lingen aan te bevelen. Ook is het leuk de Hüvenermühle te bezoeken/bezichtigen. Een wandelroute te lopen in het uitgestrekte bosgebied. Op het Hanenmoor lopen nu schapen/ geiten, een veengebied waar het heel stil is met uitzichttoren.
    Ik vind het object en omgeving minder geschikt voor een gezin met kinderen. Op sportief gebied moet je je zelf vermaken. Een zwembad is er wel in Löningen, Hasselüne helaas mag je niet in het prachtige water bij Herzlage zwemmen.
    In Herzlage zelf zijn verschillende restaurants.”
