show more Tuscany with a good mixture of love and stone. We are in Sant’Angelo in Colle, a suburb of Montalcino. Located only 10 km away from Montalcino, Sant’Angelo in Colle is an enchanting old village on a hill surrounded by acres and acres of Brunello vineyards. Wonderful castles such as those of Argiano, Velona and Poggio alle Mura are a few minutes away by car.
A 5-minute walk from the historical centre takes you to Minnie’s Cottage, a cosy 2-floor terrace house in typical Tuscan style, with wooden beam ceilings and a colourful, warm ambiance, offering every comfort for up to five guests.
The main door opens up on a living room with kitchen. A comfortable two-seat convertible bed in the colour of Brunello wine invites you to come in, to stay. Right in front of it, an old chest of drawers from the XX century I hand-painted. Our wooden table with chest is the perfect spot for a tasting of Tuscan delicacies and Brunello wine, a breakfast with a view on the Tuscan hills, or a typical Italian dinner. The kitchen is fully equipped to make all of this happen. We would love to teach you how to make bread with our breadmaker. The inebriating scent of freshly baked bread will make your mouth water.
A French window opens up on a small garden in which we host Gino, our olive tree. Gino is the founding member of our family: my husband Andrea dug a hole for it and took it home on a crane. It’s my true engagement gift, much more precious to me than any diamond ring.
Going up the stairs to the first floor you will find the master bedroom, whose ambiance, created through orange walls and a view from the balcony on a wonderful Tuscan farmhouse, along with a very comfortable double bed and a large flat-screen TV will grant you a relaxing time and a good mood. Right next to the master bedroom you will find our second bedroom, with a double bed and a breath-taking view on the valley, Monte Amiata and Velona Castle, and the bathroom, featuring a large shower and every comfort for your stay.
Last but not least, during your first tour of the house you surely will meet Sophya, our old and cuddly Siamese cat. The true owner of our home.
You will have at your disposal a large fridge with freezer, a microwave, an oven, a blender, a juicer, a breadmaker, as well as 2 TVs, a DVD player, a hair dryer, a washing machine, an iron with ironing board.
