“Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist vollkommen okay. Etwas unterhalb der Ferienwohnung ist eine kleine Gaststätte (wir waren allerdings nicht dort, hat aber einen guten Eindruck gemacht). Der nächst größere Ort ist nicht weit entfernt und bietet alles, was man braucht (Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Ärzte, ein toller Hafen mit einem wunderschönen Spielplatz...).

Die Ferienwohnung befindet sich am Hang, also muss man mit spielen bzw. Bällen schon aufpassen. Aber dennoch ist es dort sehr schön für Kinder (Schaukel, Sandkasten, Tischtennisplatte, große Wiese und ein schöner kleiner Badesee). Wir sind mit einem Hund angereist, da es sehr naturverbunden ist (Hühner und Katzen auf dem Gelände und freilaufende Rehe) muss man die Hunde angeleint lassen. Aber so sind sie herzlich Willkommen.”

“Ein Sparmarkt, war schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. An Gastronomie, waren z.B.die Röhre, wo es sehr leckere Gerichte gibt und eine Pizzeria.”

“We stayed only 1 week but every day we travelled and visited the surroundings (on a 150 km radius in total) and I can say that Unterach am Attersee is the most lovely place I ever stayed in (maybe it's glamour is exceeded only by the one of Bad Ischl). I liked Unterach even better than Salzburg (the town cannot be compared in beauty - Salzburg being a majestic town, but the atmosphere and the serenity you'll find in Unterach is one of a kind). Being a small town you don't have that many shopping opportunities however we found here a few small and lovely shops, but no worries Bad Ischl takes care of that (and it is only at 25 km away). The gastronomy is amazing and I mean amazing (go towards the end of the center of Unterach - near the KlimtPlatz and you'll find some great restaurants). You have access to many sportive recreational activities (tennis, mini-golf, water sports, bikes, trekking routes) and the people you encounter there will inspire you to do at least one of them (being very very active persons, regardless of age). The price are ok, not low and not very high. What we found very expensive was the food but trust me- will be worth it. However if you are on a budget and you want to save money you can always go to Spar Supermarket (right in the center of the town) and buy at affordable prices. Unterach am Attersee is a great place for the entire family so bring your children along it's not only safe but they have playgrounds and a lot of safe areas where your children can jump and run, without the need of you being worried all the time. The sights are amazing - and I do not exagerate when I say that Attersee and especially Unterach am Attersee is amazing - the most beautiful place in the entire Upper Austria.”

“Die weitere Umgebung mit Attersee, Mondsee, Wolfgangsee ist einfach toll. Allgegenwärtig ist die Bundesstraße direkt an den Seen. Einerseits klasse, direkt am See fahren zu können, andererseits nervig, wenn man 2 Meter daneben am Strand liegt. Mit Verkehr und Lärm.

Die kleinen Städtchen sind sehr verschlafen, vielleicht war es Ende August / Anfang September auch einfach schon Nachsaison. Trotzdem war es nicht immer einfach, einen Parkplatz zu finden, ohne gleich eine Tageskarte lösen zu müssen.

Es gibt immer wieder Bereiche an den Seen, die öffentlich und kostenlos zugänglich sind, so dass dann und wann ein spontaner Abkühlungsstopp durchgeführt werden konnte. Längere Spaziergänge entlang der Seen waren vielfach nicht durchführbar, da Privatgelände und -besitz dies unterbanden. Das ist schade, aber das sind wohl die Gegebenheiten.”
